Writing Activity
1. First, on a separate piece of paper, create a table like the one below.

Host a parent training one night per month on a parenting topic.

More families will have information about parenting. They will also be more comfortable coming to the program.

- Find out the topics that your parent group finds interesting

2. In the first column, write some activities that will increase family involvement in your program. For example, invite families to a special training or ask parents to supervise a field trip.
3. Next, decide how each activity will help family involvement and put those in the objectives sections.
4. Lastly, for each of your family involvement ideas, list the steps you will need to take to make your parent activities happen.
5. Use your word processor to type your ideas and save this in your disk portfolio.
