Writing Activity

1. First, on a separate piece of paper, create a table like the one below.

2. In the first column write some activities that will increase family involvement in your classroom. For example, invite families to a special dinner or ask parents to lead an activity or supervise a field trip.

3. Next, decide how each activity will help family involvement and put those in the objectives sections.

4. Lastly, for each of your family involvement ideas, list the staff from whom you will need support in the third column. For example, the director, supervisor, the cook.

5. Use your word processor to type your ideas and save this in your disk portfolio or, if you are using the Learner Web, save it in your workspace.
