Writing Activity
- Sit in the block area and watch children for 15 minutes.
- Write about what was happening in the area. Answer these questions:
What were they doing?
Were they talking? What were they saying?
What ideas for playing did you give them?
For example:
Andrea and Diana were fighting over the blocks. Each child was
saying that the big block was hers. I talked with them about sharing
things. Then, I gave them more blocks.
- Type in a word processing program and save it to your disk
portfolio or, if you are using the Learner Web, save it in your
workspace.
- Share what you wrote with your supervisor and writing tutor.
Help with the past continuous (was or were verb + ing) is available.
