Writing Activity
- Observe a teacher in your center reading a book to children.
- In a word processing program, type what you observed. How did the teacher
get children to pay attention and continue to have interest in the story?
What worked? What didn't work? For example:
Things that worked:
Most children came to the reading area without the teacher asking.
Things that didn't work:
One child didn't come to the reading area immediately.
- After you finish, print out what you wrote and give it to your tutor
or, if you are using the Learner Web, save it in your workspace.
Help with the negative past tense ("did not", "didn't") is available.
