About the Project

The Early Care and Education Literacy Curriculum for Teachers, Children and Families is a project of the Child Care Careers Institute (CCCI) and The Adult Literacy Resource Institute. The project is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education (Adult and Community Learning Services), 0-8, Boston's Community Partnership a program of Massachusetts Department of Education and The Harold Whitworth Pierce Charitable Trust.

The goals of the curriculum are to help:

• early care and education teachers improve their reading and writing skills.
• early care and education teachers improve the quality of care for children in early childhood education and care centers.
• parents add or expand child literacy activities at home or in family literacy programs.
• parents and early childhood education centers enhance their communications.
